Large Core Fiber

Fujikura's large core optical fiber is made from silica glass, which is excellent for transmission of high density optical energy from ultraviolet rays to near infrared rays. A superior guide for laser beams; with a wide range of wavelengths for applications which require high power optical energy. For example: laser processing machinery and laser cutters, optical sensors, analyzers etc.

Terminal configuration (sleeve, connector) can be either Fujikura standard or customer specifications.

Fujikura has newly developed square core fibers. Such square core fibers deliver top hat beam profile and exclude the need of beam shaping optics, which in turn reduce the size and complexity of laser delivery system. Since laser diode usually has square geometry, the square core fiber can provide better efficiency of coupling than circular core fibers. Square core fibers are attractive for the laser scribing machines. The uniform top hat laser beam delivered by the square core fiber improves the laser scribing speed and processing form.
