Under the direction of Fujikura Ltd, AFL Telecommunications’ goal is to participate in the communities, in which we work, not only as a financial contributor, but as a good neighbor. True to its’ core principles, AFL Telecommunications actively strives to be environmentally responsible while offering the highest quality products to every customer.
Business and industries change, but the one constant is our commitment to protect our natural environment and resources. Based on the July 1, 2006 implementation of the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives, AFL now offers compliant components and finished goods. Specific products have been declared to be within the IT and Telecommunications scope of the directive.
Compliance to the RoHS directive is not only important to our international customers, but is growing as a necessity for domestic customers, as well. This global migration to RoHS compliance drives AFL to transition all components to meet these requirements. However, it will take time to become 100% hazardous “free” – time to deplete existing non-RoHS inventory.
As we move toward this goal:
- AFL will continue to manufacture quality products with on-time delivery.
- AFL will continue to require the very best from our global suppliers, as well as our own internal supply chains.
- AFL will continue to create innovative products, maintaining these environmental standards
AFL will seek every opportunity to provide environmentally friendly products coupled with safe manufacturing practices. It is our pledge to every customer and to our community. Our neighbor.
