The FSM-17S establishes a new standard for single fiber “fixed v-groove” type fusion splicers with a host of improvements including a 35 second tube heater, dual position monitor, and a longer battery life. Also available now is a version of the FSM-17S utilizing a fiber holder system, making the splicing process extremely simple for inexperienced technicians.
