Bandwidth Management Products: Procera® PacketLogic™ PL5600
Powerful Traffic & Bandwidth Management
PacketLogic is the market's most powerful and complete traffic management system. Now PacketLogic is available in an edition for enterprises - PacketLogic PL5600.

The PL5600 is built on the second generation of PacketLogic architecture, and contains the modules Surveillance, Traffic Shaping, Filtering and Statistics. The PL5600 is available in four editions - up to 4, 10, 24, 45 or 100Mbps throughput. The maximum limit can be upgraded between the PL5600 editions using a software key.

The PL5600 is able to view the traffic in your network in real time and implement a corporate policy for Internet use where unwanted applications are filtered out. Rules can be timebased, e.g. time of day, day of week and date range. You can set warranty levels to ensure that IP telephony and other business critical applications always have the required bandwidth. The PL5600 also gives you better protection against DoS and DDoS attacks.

The combination of functionality is based on Procera Networks' process: Monitor-Analyze-Optimize. A network administrator should continuously monitor and analyze the traffic in order to optimize it based on accurate and precise information. Traffic is a more common reason for communication problems than infrastructure. Traffic optimization is a necessity today when traffic patterns and user behavior on the Internet are rapidly changing due to more functionality migrating to IP as communication carrier. New applications grow popular over night.

The objective is best possible utilization of available bandwidth. The visible result is a better user experience, lower investment in additional bandwidth and quality assurance on performance and business critical traffic like business systems, IP telephony and streaming services. The PL7600 utilizes the migration from Best Effort to Quality of Service (QoS).
