The Future Access™ Splitter Modules are small, modular optical splitter modules central to the functionality of a Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH). These modules feature pigtails manufactured with the Fujikura SR-15e Bend Insensitive Fiber as a standard feature. Performing optically equivalent to standard Singlemode fiber down to a 15mm bend radius, it aids in minimizing the chance of signal loss due to high traffic/densely packed patch panel routing installations.
Each Future Access™ Splitter Module is compatible with all Future Access Fiber Distribution Hubs. This translates into immediate cost savings realized by the provider, due to a lesser number of modules to inventory and manage. Equipped with a unique, self-latching lock mechanism, the Future Access™ Splitter Modules help an installer reduce the amount of time required to deploy. No tools are required during the installation, aiding in efficiency and reduced down-time. A durable, glass-reinforced thermoplastic housing protects the optical components of the Future Access™ splitter modules. In conjunction with a GR-1209 and GR-1221-CORE compliant design, this ensures longevity and durability in an Outside Plant application.
The Future Access™ Splitter Modules are also adaptable to distribution hubs currently deployed in a providers network. A universal adapter bracket allows the AFL Splitter Module to mount in the same slot position as the modules currently used. These Universal Splitter Modules are available for the following distribution hubs: ADC OmniReach™ ACE Series, FONS OFDH-I Series, Corning Cable Systems OptiTect™ Advantage Series and OptiTect™ Premier Cabinet (FDH-HDF) Gen 1.
