The SB01 Splice Box Enclosure is used to house optical fibers in a protective, moisture-free environment. Electrical utilities and optical cable installers use the splice enclosure for inline splicing or cable taps. The splice box, circular in shape, made from cast ductile iron with a galvanized coating, is furnished with four (2-aluminum, 2- plastic) plugged cable ports and (1) splice tray capable of storing twelve (12) splices. Additional trays can be purchased separately. Maximum tray capacity of the enclosure is eight (8) including a transition tray, if needed.
