Introducing the Noyes® M700 Mid-Range OTDR
Complete with VFL and OPM for maximum capability in one versatile package
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – February 19, 2008 – AFL Telecommunications announces the new Noyes M700 Single-Mode OTDR with integrated Visual Fault Locator and Optical Power Meter. This mid-range OTDR complements Noyes’ current suite of test equipment by broadening their support into longer range single-mode applications. The M700 will be available in May 2008.
A compact, full-featured OTDR, the M700 includes a large transflective touch screen display suitable for both indoor and outdoor operation. With short dead zones, a dynamic range of 38dB, and greater than 8-hour battery life during continuous testing, the M700 is perfect for testing optical fibers in service provider metro areas.
Thousands of OTDR and OPM results can be stored internally or on a USB drive, and are transferable via a USB cable or drive to a computer for viewing, printing and analyzing with Windows® compatible software. In addition, the M700 supports Real Time, Full-Auto, and Expert (manual) modes, precision event analysis, dual-wavelength testing, rich file naming and job set-up functionality. Specific values can be set to alert the test operator of failing or marginal events.
All models include a power adapter with country-specific power cord, PC Trace analysis software and user guide. In addition, the USB drive and Windows compatible software are included.
The Noyes M700 OTDR will be available from AFL Telecommunications in the coming weeks. For additional information, visit www.AFLtele.com.
