Founded in 1984, AFL Telecommunications is a well established company with strong roots in our communities. AFL Telecommunications is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujikura, Ltd, and we are the driving force of Fujikura’s telecommunications business in North America and Europe. We have over 2,500 employees in multiple locations throughout the world, yet we have been able to retain the small company feel and entrepreneurial spirit which many employees look for. Our parent company, Fujikura, has a large global presence, and Fujikura is one of the world’s largest fiber optic manufacturers. |

AFL is a technology leader in many communications related markets. We provide leading edge products and solutions to our telecommunication and electric utility customers; fusion splicing technology, testing and inspection, fiber optic cables, connectivity solutions, fiber related apparatus products, and various hardware and motion control products. Being a division of the second largest fiber manufacturer in the world, we are able to leverage off of Fujikura’s technological strengths and bring high-tech leading products to the marketplace. In 2006, we established a Research and Development Center in our South Carolina facility which is focused on bringing the next-gen fiber optic products and solutions to AFL Telecommunications’ customers and partners. |
